whole-person healing

Where mind and body meet—for healing that’s whole, personal, and lasting.

Mental Health Counseling

Marybeth Pixley, LPC-C

Welcome to your space for healing and growth.

Healing is about so much more than just one part of you—it’s about embracing your whole self: mind, body, and spirit.

My work centers on trauma, anxiety, intimacy, and self-worth—especially where physical and emotional pain overlap. I bring experience in both counseling and pelvic floor physical therapy, offering a holistic approach grounded in the mind-body-spirit connection. Whether you’re working through past trauma, navigating anxiety, or seeking greater intimacy in your relationships, this is a space designed for you.

If it resonates with you, we can also explore healing through a faith-informed lens, weaving themes of grace, love, identity, and release of shame into your process. This is always an option, never a requirement—your healing is yours to shape.

Together, we’ll work to reclaim your emotional, physical, and sexual health. I’ll walk alongside you every step of the way. You deserve healing. You deserve joy. And you deserve to thrive.

Types of Counseling

Counseling comes in many forms, each designed to address unique challenges. Whether you’re seeking individual support or couples counseling, these services are tailored to help you process, grow, and reconnect with yourself and others.

Individual Counseling

Your physical symptoms —things like chronic pain, the lingering effects of birth, or the impact of sexual trauma—might be connected to emotional patterns or the past (even if it feels like your are "over it"!).

My trauma-informed approach is to help you gently process what you’ve been through, uncover what’s holding you back, and develop tools to move forward in your body with and inner peace and more confident sense of self.

You don’t have to do this alone.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing, I’m here to walk with you.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, we’ll focus on untangling unhelpful patterns in how we connect, communicate, and navigate trust in every part of the relationship.

Whether it’s mismatched desires, difficulty expressing needs, or rebuilding trust, I’ll guide you through practical, compassionate strategies to create deeper intimacy and understanding. Together, we’ll explore how your relationship dynamics show up in the way you approach conflict, connection, and closeness as a team.

This isn’t about blame—it’s about building. Building trust, building communication, and building a relationship where both partners feel safe, seen, and desired.

Let's transform the way you connect.

Intimacy Counseling

In our sessions, we will address the deep-rooted challenges that can stem from things like purity culture, shame, sexual avoidance, and body image struggles. These issues create barriers to connection, pleasure, and self-acceptance, leaving you feeling disconnected from your bodies and your partner.

We will unpack these layers of pain, conditioning, and fear, helping you rewrite the stories that no longer serve you. By fostering self-compassion, open communication, and a renewed sense of confidence, this type of counseling empowers you to embrace your body, your desires, and your relationships with authenticity and joy.

It’s about moving from shame to self-love, from avoidance to intimacy, and from disconnection to meaningful connection.
